How much data does Vainglory use?
Vainglory uses about 0.5 MB per minute, so approximately 10MB per match.
What kind of statistics stack for items. Do item passives stack?
- All stats stack! This includes CDA (cooldown acceleration). There is no cap on CDA however, CDA works just like attack speed. +100% means you attack / cast spells twice as fast. To get to zero cooldown, you’d need infinity CDA, so for now, infinite-stun Catherine is not possible.
- Item passives do not stack, you only get the effect of having one.
- Item actives sorta-stack in the sense that you could use each of them separately. They do not share cooldowns.
How do I get ICE?
ICE is our Premium Currency and cannot be earned in the game. We do however often run competitions and we also give away ICE on all of our official Twitch streams at http://twitch.tv/vainglory so watch out for events!
What is Glory? How do I get Glory?
Glory is an in-game currency. You receive Glory by playing matches. Winning matches gives out more Glory than losing one. Only Public Matches gives Glory.
There are also a few specifics that gives additional Glory;
- First Win of the Day – when you wins the first match for the day, you get extra Glory
- Third Win of the Day – when you have won 3 matches within a 24 hour period, they get more bonus Glory
- Sinister Seven – When a player has won 1 match for 7 consecutive days, they get bonus Glory
Things to remember;
- First Win / Third Win / Sinister Seven resets at Midnight UTC
- When a you earn Sinister Seven, you do not receive First Win of the day
What ports do I need to have open to play Vainglory?
We need port 80 (for http) and port 443 (for https), and all ports in the range of 6000-8000 and 8020.
I am seeing a Cannot Connect or Connection Dropped Message.
If you are seeing any of the above messages it means that your connection to our server is not possible at the moment. Please try to do a full shut-down of your device by powering it completely off as well as restarting your router by unplugging the power-chord for 30 seconds. Then try again. Also make sure that no ports required by Vainglory are blocked. This could certainly be the case if you are playing from a public place such as a school or workplace. You can also try using a different network.
I am experiencing lag, what can I do?
If you are experiencing graphical frame rate drops (where you do not see a “poor network connection” message), a device restart will help. If you are experiencing network lag, try these:
- Check your in-game profile page to confirm that you’re on the right server. (You’ll see REGION listed in the upper left.)
- Try turning off any bluetooth devices in your vicinity. Certain bluetooth devices can interfere with wireless signals.
- Experiment with turning off streaming services for music, movies, etc. A family member’s reality TV show might be stealing all your thunder.
- Make sure no cloud services are syncing or working in the background.
- If you are playing over WiFi, restart your router. If you have a cable connection, also restart your cable modem. This can be easily done by unplugging the devices, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging them back in. It could take up to a few minutes for the devices to properly start up again.
- Try playing closer to your router or changing your WiFi channel on your router to reduce network interference
- Power off and reboot your device
I am unable to install Vainglory, or update to the latest update!
If you are experiencing game install updates, you should try to delete the current version of Vainglory on your device (if already installed), restart your device by powering it off, and make sure you are connected to WiFi. Then start the download and installation process again.
Why does it say that my account has expired?
This is caused by a corrupted log-in session. Log in with your details to start a new session.
